How to Connect Fitbit and Google Health to Apple Health

Edited

You can now send your Fitbit data straight to Apple Health from the Google Health app. Once your workouts land in Apple Health, the Trainwell app can read them, so your trainer sees the activity you do outside of Trainwell.

Connect Google Health to Apple Health

You can start from either app. Both routes lead to the same connection.

Option 1: Start in Google Health

  1. Open the Google Health app on your iPhone.

  2. Tap your profile icon.

  3. Tap Partner apps, then tap Apple Health.

  4. Follow the setup prompts to connect for the first time.

  5. Choose the data categories you want to share and how much history to send (the past 30 days or your full history), then tap Allow.

If you do not see Partner apps, look for Connections, then Apps and services, then Apple Health. The wording can vary slightly by app version.

Option 2: Start in Apple Health

  1. Open the Health app on your iPhone.

  2. Tap the Sharing tab.

  3. Tap Apps, then tap Google Health.

  4. Turn on the data categories you want Google Health to share.

Add or change data later

In Google Health, go to your profile icon, then Partner apps, then Apple Health, and tap Review permissions. You can add new categories or turn off ones you no longer want to share.
