Move a Workout

The Move Workouts feature lets you rearrange your scheduled workouts within the same week, so you can stay consistent when plans change.

A Trainwell week runs Sunday through Saturday.

When You Can Move a Workout

You can move a workout if:

  • ✅ The new day is within the same week (Sunday - Saturday)

  • ✅ The new day does not already have a workout scheduled

You cannot move a workout to:

  • ❌ A day outside the current week

  • ❌ A day that already has another workout scheduled

If a day already has a workout, you’ll need to move workouts around first to free up space. Please see the end of this article for more detail.



How to Move a Workout:

  • From the Today tab, Tap Move Workout. (Please note, the Move Workouts button will not show on Rest Days)

  • Find the workout you want to move, tap Move, and select a new available day in the current week.

  • You’ll see a green “Saved” confirmation at the top of the screen once the move is complete.

How to confirm your workout was moved

You can verify the change by:

  • Checking your Schedule - the workout should show up on the new date.

  • Looking back at the original date - it should no longer appear there.



Moving Around Conflicts (Days With Existing Workouts)

You can only move a workout to a day that doesn’t already have a workout scheduled. If the day you want already has a workout on it, you will need to free up that day first:

  • Move one of the workouts to an open day

  • Then move the other workout into the newly open spot

Another Option: Do Workouts Out of Order

If you’d rather not move workouts around, you can still complete them in a different order.

You’re free to start a workout from any day in the current week, even if it’s not today.

Example

Let’s say you want to:

  • Do tomorrow’s workout today, and

  • Save today’s workout for tomorrow

You can simply:

  • Tap on tomorrow’s date and start that workout today

  • When tomorrow arrives, go back to the previous day and complete that workout then

This gives you flexibility to jump between days and do workouts when they fit best without changing your schedule.
