Voice Prompt Troubleshooting
Missing a voice prompt or trainer cue can disrupt the flow of your workout and impact your performance. If you are experiencing issues with the audio in your Peloton Personal Trainer (PPT) app, please follow these troubleshooting steps to get your voice prompts working.
Make sure you’re using the latest version of the PPT app and that your devices are updated to the most recent iOS software, as the app performs best with current Apple updates.
✅ First Steps to Try
1. Verify In-App Audio Settings
The primary cause of audio issues is often found within the app settings.
Open the PPT app on your iPhone.
Navigate to the Today tab, then tap your profile picture in the top left corner.
Select Settings.
Locate the Watch and Haptic and Voice Prompts sections.
Enable all options within these sections and ensure the volume sliders are adjusted appropriately.
2. Adjust Device Volume During Workouts
Sometimes your device volume may be lowered without your awareness.
While a workout is in progress, use the physical volume buttons on the side of your iPhone to increase the level.

3. Restart the PPT App
If settings are correct but prompts remain missing, a fresh start of the application can often resolve underlying software glitches.
Force close the PPT app by swiping up from the bottom of your screen and tossing the app card away.
Re-open the PPT app and attempt to start your workout again.
4. Reinstall the App
Uninstalling and reinstalling the app can help clear any potentially bad data that might be causing issues.
Delete the PPT app from your phone
Restart both your phone and your watch (if applicable)
Reinstall the app on your phone
