Using a Heart Rate Monitor with Trainwell
Connecting Your Heart Rate Monitor to Trainwell
We’re excited to announce that Trainwell now supports integration with third-party heart rate monitors! While we have long supported the Apple Watch, this new feature allows you to use your favorite chest straps and wearables to share real-time heart rate during the workout with your trainer.
Seeing your heart rate during a session helps your trainer dial in your intensity and track your progress with even greater precision.

Setup Tips 💡
WHOOP Setup
If you’re using a WHOOP 4.0 or 5.0, you must manually enable broadcasting for the Trainwell app to find your device:
Open your WHOOP app.
Go to Device Settings → Broadcast HR.
Ensure this is toggled ON. If it’s not streaming, your device won’t appear in the device list.
